Heiko Wohlgemuth

Heiko Wohlgemuth completed his classical actor’s training in Hamburg and has been working as an actor, author, and songwriter since 1999. Together with Alex Kuchinka he not only wrote the musical „Achtung. Selten. Die Comedian Harmonists“ but also performed in the musical – both in the Austrian capital Vienna, as well as in Klagenfurt.

At the Hamburg Schmidt Theater Wohlgemuth worked closely with Edith Jeske, who supported him in his endeavor to pursue a career as a songwriter. The musical “Swinging St. Pauli” was written by Wohlgemuth, Jeske, Thomas Matschoß, and Martin Lingnau, which later received the the Inthega Prize for the best German tour production.

Wohlgemuth also wrote songs for the long-time success musical „Heiße Ecke“. He was the co-author and songwriter for the puppet musical „Villa Sonnenschein“ and was responsible for the musical arrangement (script and libretto) of Walter Moers „Die 13 _ Lives of Captain Blue Bear“, which received the Live Entertainment Award 2007. At the end of 2008, FKP Scorpio started its second tour series with this family musical throughout Germany. The world premiere of the musical “Der Schuh des Manitu” took place on December 7, 2008 at the Berlin Theater des Westens.

Heiko Wohlgemuth took part in numerous master classes, which – among others - were held by Stephen Schwartz. He cooperates closely with the composer Martin Lingnau.
